Person centred care · Maidstone, Kent

Care at home, arranged around your day.

A family run, independent home care service for people who want to stay independent in their own home. You choose the days and the visits — we build the package around them.

Office Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00 · 24 hour helpline for emergencies

The shape of a day

Most people start with one call a day. Some build up from there.

There is no fixed package. This is simply how a day tends to be put together — pick the calls that fit, leave the ones that do not.

  1. Morning

    The getting-up call

Personal care, dressing, medication and breakfast — the call most packages start with.

  2. Midday

    Lunch and a check-in

A meal prepared, or a short check call if that is all that is needed.

  3. Afternoon

    Company, shopping, appointments

A leisure call, a day out, or a sit-in so family can have a few hours back.

  4. Evening

    The bed call

Settling for the night, medication and making sure the house is secure.

  5. Overnight

    24 hour helpline

The office runs Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00 — but the emergency helpline runs around the clock.

Home visits

Personalise your own package of care — choosing the days and the number of visits you need.

What a home visit includes
A carer and an older person walking together along a tree-lined Kent street, seen from behind, carrying a shopping bag.

Companionship

Days out, shopping, leisure calls and a sit-in service — for as long as is requested.

What companionship covers
A hand setting a mug of tea on a side table beside a telephone and a wall calendar with visits pencilled in, under lamp light.

Check calls

Not everyone needs full-time care. Sometimes it is enough to know someone will call in.

How check calls work

Should you find that there is a service you require that isn't listed, please still get in touch — at A Rated Homecare we guarantee to go that extra mile to ensure your needs are met.

Four key principles

Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Dignity.

A Rated Homecare upholds these principles throughout its day to day practices. This is shown by the compassion in delivering excellent standards of care.

Honesty
Clear about what a visit includes, what it costs, and who is coming.
Integrity
Carers employed directly by us, trained and selected by us — never subcontracted.
Respect
Your home, your routine, your choices. We fit around them.
Dignity
Personal care delivered quietly and without fuss, by someone you know.

Where we work

Based in Loose, covering Maidstone and the villages around it.

We are a group of individuals who aim to provide the best possible person centred care to people in the community. Being local is part of the offer — short travel between calls means visits start when they are meant to.

Directly employed

We employ all of our carers directly, so you can be assured that you or your loved one will be receiving support from someone who has passed all our training and selection process.

In their words

“The same carer comes every morning and Mum knows her name. That is the bit I did not expect to matter as much as it does.”

PlaceholderReplace with a real family's words — we would collect two or three before launch.

We have not put words in anyone's mouth. Reviews from families, and a CQC rating once one is published, are the two strongest trust signals a homecare site can carry — both belong here.

Not sure what you need yet?

That is the usual starting point. Tell us roughly what is going on and we will talk through what a package could look like — no obligation, and no charge for the conversation.
